CASL Experience

CASL is a requirement for IB diploma. Through the years, our year 5 photog members have exhibited creativity by thinking of CAS projects that are relevant to meet the needs of our beneficiaries.

Some of the past CASL projects include:

1. Teaching photography to pupils from Pathlight School (2016)

The training culminates in a trip to Botanic Garden where pupils from both schools had fun with photography while immersed in nature.

2. Teaching photography to pupils of Grace Orchid School (2017)

3. Teaching photography to pupils of Rainbow Center, Singapore (2018)

4. Photo-taking to make into a video for fund raising for Caritas (2021)

5. Capturing and documenting school events during Covid period (2022)

6. Organising Singapore Young Photography Convention (SYPC), under the umbrella of NYAA and ITE (2023)

SYPC is a national photography competition for students organised by students.

7. Photo montage depicting the school’s SHIELD values (2023)

SHIELD stands for Steadfast, Humility, Integrity, Empathy, Loyalty and Diligence. The photo montage seeks to capture ACSians exhibiting SHIELD values. The video is as below:
